ATC Triathlete of the Year points set up Any multi-sport race will be considered that is exclusive to a swim, bike and run in any order. Alaska races: Scored with points for being in the top 10 overall for men and women. 100 – 90 – 85 – 80 – 75 – 70 – 68 – 66 – 64 – 62 Outside races: Scored with points awarded for being in the top 10 of an individual’s age group at said event. Scoring same as above. Bonus points: For any race that is recognized as a National Championship, add 5 points to your score. For any race that is recognized as a World Championship, add 10 points to your score. For races considered a ½ Ironman distance, add 3 points to your score. For races considered a Full Ironman distance, add 6 points to your score. Final score: Total points from best 5 races, with at least 2 within Alaska. In December, the ATC will send out a note to all current members, asking anyone wishing to be considered for the Male and Female TOY awards, to send us their top 5 race scores and links to the results for each race to verify them. Points will be confirmed and awards will be given at the spring party. Examples: Score: Race the ERT, finished 5th overall 88 + 0 = 88 Race USAT Nationals, finish 9th age group 76 + 5 = 81 Race XTERRA Worlds, finish 3rd age group 94 + 10 = 104 Race Sourdough, finish 3rd overall 94 + 3 = 97 Race IM Worlds, finish 2nd age group! 97 + 10 + 6 = 113 TOTAL 483
