Opinion of the product/service: I was looking for something to contain all my tri stuff in one place so I wouldn’t end up missing anything on race day. This pack does the trick and more. There is a pocket for every conceivable tri item you can think of except maybe your bike. The harness is adjustable and fits like a regular backpack so it’s comfortable to walk or ride with from your hotel to transition or wherever you need to go.

 

Pros:

  • Clamshell design is nice. Able to open the pack all the way so you can see whatever you have stashed in the mesh pockets.
  • Separate compartment for wetsuit and other wet items.
  • Tri Check list sewn onto one of the compartments. I’ve used it more than once before heading out for a race or training.
  • The helmet pocket is nice and big and will hold any size helmet plus some other odds and ends.
  • Durable fabric
  • Comfortable waist belt.
  • Multiple size pockets. Small enough for a watch and big enough for multiple changes of clothes.

Cons:

  • Too big? Sometime I end up taking way more than I need just because I can fit it all in but I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry. Zoot does make a smaller version called the Z-Pack Training Bag for $100.00
  • Top pocket is a little small and not good for much but is lined so I suppose you could use it for sunglasses or similar.
